About the event
On May Day, community members will gather for a peaceful vigil and protest to speak out against potential cuts to Social Security being proposed by the Trump Administration. As a day historically rooted in the fight for workers’ rights, May 1st is a powerful time to raise our voices in defense of the essential programs that support seniors, people with disabilities, and vulnerable communities.
Participants will stand in solidarity to demand that lawmakers protect Social Security, honor the dignity of work, and prioritize the well-being of the people over political agendas. All are welcome to join this action for justice and economic security. Bring signs and chairs (if needed).
