A District 1 Constituents' Town Hall Meeting is a grassroots event organized by constituents when their congressional representative refuses to hold a public town hall. Community members gather in a public space—often with an empty chair symbolizing the absent representative—to voice concerns, share personal stories, and discuss pressing local and national issues. The event is designed to demonstrate the demand for accountability, highlight the representative’s absence, and amplify the voices of those they were elected to serve. Press and social media are often invited to bring visibility to the community’s unmet need for dialogue.
This event features several keynote speakers, refreshments, and a bake sale.
Event is free and open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 . No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
