About the event
The West Coast Banner Drop challenge was started by resistance groups in Siskiyou and spread from group to group until it picked up teams all along I-5 and the entire West Coast - California, Oregon, and Washington! - who are eager to participate. Other roads were added due to popular demand, and now, many of our Chico resistance organizations are bringing it to Hwy 99.
Multiple orgs "adopted a bridge" and will be out with a careful number of volunteers in the mornings over Labor Day weekend, encouraging travelers to Look up! We will keep our heads up and our focus strong against the threat of dictators in the US White House, and we'll do it together.
There's limited room for signs on the overpasses, per the request of CHP and CalTrans, but there's lots of room on the bike path between them! So join us Labor Day, Monday morning…
