No Kings!  
Take Back Our Flag!

Thousands of people showed up in Downtown Chico to say No Kings! on June 14th, 2025. They came from all walks of life - Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and otherwise from across Northern California, even some visiting from Southern Oregon, - to participate and to march.

Those of us who are concerned are not alone. Even in a district as "red" as Butte County, CA, there are many people who have questions and are worried about the undemocratic approach of the current administration.

Many of us didn't vote for what we got. Many of us were lied to, cajoled, and promised the moon, and now are getting ground into the dirt. Many of us just lost faith in the system working as it was designed.

Many of us showed up on June 14th. We marched shoulder to shoulder and raised our voices. We were kind to each other, our neighbors.

All of us showed up in support of democracy. And we will keep showing up, because we do not live under a monarchy.
