Why Vote Early?
People power comes from participation: organizing, speaking out, voting, protecting our rights, and holding those in power accountable.
The first numbers you hear from the news outlets on election day are always the mail-in and early vote ballots because those are counted first. If the message is clear from the very first numbers, there will be less opportunity to challenge the will of the people through the vote.
Voting early gives communities more time to help neighbors, friends, family members, and coworkers make plans to vote.
Voting early gives eligible voters more opportunities to participate and make their voices heard, at national level and at the state and local levels.
Voting early gives people more time to deal with problems that could otherwise keep them from voting on election day (including, but not limited to, voter suppression tactics).
Voting early gives everyone the opportunity to learn when voting starts, where they can find reliable information, and to have a solid plan to vote.
Our communities are strongest when everyone who is eligible to vote has a plan, knows their options, and follows through.
Voting early gives us the power to make our voices heard on our own terms, before Election Day, and before anyone else can decide what happens next.
The people who organize, participate, and vote are the people who decide what happens next.
Nationally and locally, No Kings: Vote Early! is an event focused on voter participation for all eligible voters. It is not affiliated with, coordinated with, or supportive of any candidate or political party. Democracy is protected by every voter, not one party.
Nonviolent, people-led movements are, historically, the most successful path to real change. When communities stand together in nonviolent action, fear loses its power.
